Dandelion II

This is the second post of the dandelion. Two images which show the structure of the epidermis and colenchima cells.
First with the 20X and the second with the 40X objs.

Haha! Jim - there's a couple of great shots of the collenchyma - strong and flexible - no lignin required! The thickening is really quite dense in those cells - no wonder the Dandelion's head is able to endure such bending by the wind etc!
