plant stem under microscope

hello guys

this images was taken of parsley stem at 56x magnification
with my lomo biolam.
you can clearly see the vascular bundles , xylem,phloem, ( it took me some effort to make that thin ts section 8-) )

thanks jimT , i have about 5 photos but all at 56x . i thought 315x would be too much .

That is very good!... I don't feel that 315x would be too much.. You could crop the photo to show an interesting section.. What did you slice this with, if I might ask?....

thanks billT , i will make another specimen at 315x and post it 8-)
i sliced with just a normal really sharp razer blade .

Here is a link to a simple precise "slicer".. I have never tried it, but it looks to be rather straight forward..

Here is another site on how to make a simple microtome you might want to try.;
