Amoeba eat algae

#1 Post by Francisco » Tue Nov 14, 2017 3:22 pm

In this video we observe how an Ameba introduces its pseudopods through the membrane of an algae to eat the chloroplast of this.

Astonishing
... and I think it's even more impressive played at high speed; which gives a great sense of the Action.

Thanks

Thanks for your comment and suggestion
Yes, possibly the reproduction at a higher speed would be interesting. Thank you

I had to watch this video twice to figure out who was eating who! Really amazing capture! Its seeing this type of activity that makes me realize i need to be more attentive to whats going on when i'm viewing a slide. You showed something really incredible that i would have easily glanced over and missed if it were my own slide!

Thanks for sharing!

A great capture, Francisco! It's the kind of scene that one could do microscopy for years and never see. Thanks for sharing.
