Ammonium sulphate.

Hello all. I've had ago at ammonium sulphate before (although sadly this post is a vicim of photobucket...)
Its a melt as it melts at 243 so you put it on the slide, put a cover slip on top and then heat till the ammonium sulphate melts and allow to recrystalise.
The slides are very transient - 12 - 24 hours.
Its fun watching them develop though.

Anyway each are about 400 images via stacking and stiching x200.

Polarization is so much fun. Great to experiment with different objects to see how they crystallize.
Seems like each one is at least a little unique.
