Pleurotaenium I think

I hadn't seen one of these in a while. My jars seem to be full of desmids all of a sudden.

22 images eh? I'm not very familiar with the process. But it really takes a few to get good results!!

Anyways I like the image - it's clear and very interesting organism there. The contrast of the green on white also looks great.

I think this turned out very well! Really great image with nice sharp details, i love how you can clearly see the outer edge of this guy.

You brought up an interesting point...Is there such a thing as overkill when it comes to the amount of images in a stack? I've always assumed the more, the better. I know it obviously depends on the thickness of your subject but can there be too many images in a stack?

Yes there is a certain fascination about Desmids also Diatoms, both being microscopic. Great detail.

I have been operating under this assumption as well, since it seems to make sense to me and it isn't that much extra work... as long as the subject holds still enough.
