Snowpea Pod

#1 Post by JimT » Wed Jan 03, 2018 8:57 pm

Two images of a lateral section (LS) both stained with red food colouring. First one is with the 40X obj. and shows cell structure and nucleus. Second image is with the 60X obj. and shows stomata and nucleus.

Very nice Jim - really great texture & detail. Just show what may be achieved with expert hand-sectioning.

A great example with lots of information in the images, nicely-done my friend.

Very impressive photos.
Are these z-stacks or single images?

Thank you Charlie. Now that Winter is really here my house plants are getting nervous :)

Hobbyst46,
Are these z-stacks or single images?
Yes, Combine ZP - Pyramid Weighted Average stacks. Three images each and post processing in PS.

There is a fair amount of relief with these excellent pictures. Was the lighting oblique, Jim?

Apochronaut,
Was the lighting oblique
almost always (except with dark field) as I think it brings out extra detail.
