Loa-Loa sp. microfilaria (posterior end) and a neutrophil with a background of red blood cells: https://flic.kr/p/FvEaPp
This image was taken using an Amscope 18 Megapixel (18MP) USB3.0 Digital Camera inserted directly into the Olympus BH-2 trinocular head. It was taken through an Olympus 100x SPlanApo objective, and is a stack of 6 exposures.
I'm looking forward to publishing two new resources for identification of veterinary parasites. One of the resources will be a website (http://www.veterinaryparasitology.com) designed to help clinicians, researchers, and hobbyists identify common veterinary parasites. The second resource will be a low-cost (~$5-10) digital parasitology atlas, containing all of the images from the website, which can be downloaded and used without internet access. Together, they will be called "The Monster Hunter's Guide to: Veterinary Parasitology." Stay tuned for more information.

Hey wstenberg, Thanks for the comment. I did not collect the sample and I do not know the host. I was only fortunate enough to have viewed the slide.wstenberg wrote:Nice photo. What was the host organism?
