Hi all, crocuses are up in the garden so I had a go at a very quick stack:
This is a pollen grain with it's pollen-tube entering the top of the stigma.
Apologies for the dirty-speckles, they're on my new Meiji eyepiece - it's going straight back
for replacement on Monday morning. You don't expect a brand-new lens to look like this! Yuk.
Tomorrow I'm going to try a 'proper' stack - see if I can improve on this a bit...Stacks of Pollen

Re: Stacks of Pollen
I can't imagine how anything can be a lot better! Just beautiful pictures: color, sharpness, clarity, everything. The dust spots are unfortunate, and I agree a new lens should not have dust in or on it. I hope you get it replaced soon. Would you tell us what power objectives you used, please?
Re: Stacks of Pollen
Echo everything gecko said about the obj. powers and the lens spots. Are you sure they are on the eyepiece or might it be focusing somewhere else in the focal plane? Have you rotated the eyepiece to ensure that is where the spots are? I especially like the bright yellows of the first image.
Re: Stacks of Pollen
Really striking image.
If you think you can improve it, I will look forward to seeing, as this is excellent.
Nice work.

Re: Stacks of Pollen
Excellent images, can you tell me which software do you use for stacking?.
