Beautiful image. A surprisingly large area in focus too for a single image.

Size is about 200 um. Photo was taken with the Zeiss IM35 (vertical) microscope. It uses the old Zeiss finite DIC, objective was the Planapo 25/0,65.

Could well be. As you mentioned earlier - gravity is your friend if you have an inverted microscope :)

Thank you Håkan for your feedback. By the way: I just had a first look on some of you photos that you share on flickr. They are very very impressive! I will need much more time to have a closer look. They are probabely the result of your Olympus BX51?
