Hello Radazz,

Have to agree - beautiful image and deserves to be shown off! Appears to be a very soft feather or similar with very subtle colors.

Really like it!
All the best,
Mike

Bonjour, Seb
Thank you!

Hi MikeA,
Thanks. Actually it is Tylenol dissolved in alcohol and evaporated on a slide. Then photographed in polarized illumination. The polarizer and analyzer are crossed about 15 degrees of rotation.

Nikon labophot-2. 20x

I was amazed and delighted when I downloaded it from the camera.

Hello Jim,

Would have fooled me! As you probably know, pol crystal shots are something of a 'pig in a poke' - you never can be sure what you will get even using the same materials and what you believe is identical procedure.

Hate to belabor it, but what ROH did you use? I have IPA, EtOH, and denatured Methanol.
All the best,
Mike

Just 70% rubbing alcohol from the grocery store.

I’m learning by doing.

Hi. Jim/ Radaz......sure wish you shared your specific subject in this kind posting. To my weary eyes this image is oh so similar to an: arthroscopic view of entry to a torn and traumatized 'rotator cuff injury about three days after the internal bleed'... the blood iron has stained the shreds of fascia . We all see images wirh our own minds-eye! Yikes..I just read all the posts..your image is of crystaline chemical reactions! I sense this 'comfy bedding image' night be placed in a: bedroom. all the best, charlie gurvara
