I wonder what purpose those forked stalks at the top of the first image perform. Nothing on these creatures is an ornament, everything has a function I believe.

Actually did a google search on Sea Dragons - turns out someone used the name for a cousin of the Sea Horse so I really should come up with another provisional one.
