Paramecium B.

#1 Post by Aenima » Thu Aug 23, 2018 1:08 am

This was the other Paramecium type that I hoped I had identified correctly.. :)

It looks really close to other shots ive googled, so I'm optimistic :P although pls feel free to supply alternative IDs if applicable

Taken using the Gradient universal filter - I think it was with 40x leitz, NPL fluotar, but small chance it was the zeiss 25x... I should really take notes more :P

Nice shot, and it does indeed look like a bursaria.
I used to get bazillions of these in my samples and they are cute little guys.

thank you GaryB IanW SunshineLW and Vasselle - i've since managed to record a video of this paramecium type after finding one sitting still doing it's business for several minutes - good opportunity for video :)

Will post it to youtube, after it's nearly destroyed by compression of course :P :geek:
