Cristaux de sucre

Hello everyone.
A small observation of this night.
This is powdered sugar, water + sugar mixture and drying in the open air and cover above the coverslip to prevent dust that deposits on it.

Beautiful images ... Photo2 in particular has a wide range of very pure colours.

Hard to beat polarized crystals for color and fascinating structure. Really like the sense of depth from the oblique lighting.

Thanks for these( to me) relaxing set of images vasselle. I look down onto Europa's icefields, the heave fractures and all, from my orbiter craft. That incredibally smooth edged first image a delight.
