A series of beautiful stacked photomicrographs of a few of the abundant and exquisite marine Bacillariophyta (Kingdom Chromista, though my taxonomy may be rather outdated). A real treat to see the living ''plant'' (a term used in the very broadest and most inaccurate sense) as a complement to the exquisite mounted frustules we all know so well.
