Testis of Fish TS

#1 Post by Suphot » Tue Mar 26, 2019 9:47 am

I purchased 200 prepared slides from ebay (similar to AMscope prepared slides set) and look at it for my free time.

This Testis of Fish TS slide, it look like cluster of chromosome and some of them was in separation phase.

Excellent slide - looks almost like every cell is in division! Thanks for sharing.

Hi John B,

Thank you very much for your comment, it is my first time to see chromosome of the fish.

I have karyotyped a lot of minnows and they are 2n=50.
I would guess what you have here is Umbra limi which is in the pike family. 2n=22, large metacentric chromosome s used in various studies

Hi Gerard,

Thank you very much for your comment and information. This prepared slide did not contain any more details than the label that show Testis of Fish.

Your details information will be very useful for all members.

Cheers,

Suphot
