Hello guys. Finally got my new microscope and camera setup for microscopy fun. Thank you 75RR for the article on Köhler illumination that helped me improve the quality substantially. Unfortunately I could not embed the videos so that they show up. All organisms were collected from freshwater.
400x Vorticella

100x Is this a multicellular or unicellular organism?

400x I'm guessing that this some kind of ciliate that's creating a vortex. At 6 and 38 seconds you can see particles entering the organism.

400x I think this is a ciliate to judging from the hairs at the mouth.

Very good but you don't say what your setup is, or is that in another post?

Well done! Some nice captures, particularly the last one which I think could be Vaginicola sp.
To embed youtube videos you place just the ID code in between the place marks that appear when you press the youtube button on the toolbar.

You might want to look into Oblique illumination. Brightfield is really just the first step in setting up the microscope - from there one usually adds one of the other illumination techniques.
Oblique is very effective and happily it is also the cheapest.
