A snake stole my bait fish - big bubble in the middle

Hi together,
when fishing today I suddenly recognized that one of my spare bait fish disappeared in the plants next to me. On a closer look I saw that a snake was pulling it away.
Later I saw movement in the water next to me - it was the snake with a big bubble in the middle!

Pretty snake. I'd forgotten that some snakes live in the water. You'd think they couldn't swim well but they do.

This type of snake normaly swims with a meandering movement on the surface, but it can also dive. I don't know whether it could catch prey below the surface.
