Spectacular photo!

How do you prepare these samples? Are they simple water mounts? I love seeing them 'fresh' like this.

Thanks viktor j nilsson, yes wet mount.

I try and keep the amount of debris to a minimum so that the cover slip lies flat against the slide, I also remove excess water if needed.

And motivating. I have just ordered custom home-sewn 1m-long Plankton nets for catching them alive...
