Pleurosigma sp

Plan 40x/0.65, DIC, 270µm length, 2 stacks stitched in Photoshop, Marine sample, Alboran Sea.

This one dwarfed all the other diatoms on the slide

Wow! fit for a wall decoration. Is this size of Pleurosigma very rare ?

Is this size of Pleurosigma very rare ?
Have seen a couple, I think it is more about location and a bit of luck
