The 100x objectives Phase and Standard do not seem to resolves as well as the lower magnification objectives on the Omax.

This in absolutely normal. The linear resolution depends on the aperture of the lens. The information content of the image depends on the object size that you see times the resolution. The stronger objectives show a comparatively small image are for the resolution they offer.

10:1 objective n.a 0,25
100:1 objective n.a. 1,25 => linear image size 0,1 x that of the 10:1 objective, resolution 5x more => 0,5x the linear image detail => 0,25x the image detail in the area.

Is it possible that the aperture of your condenser was a little low? Did you oil the condenser?
The stronger the objective the better the slide should be prepared, e.g. thin water film, object close to the underside of the slide. A soon as you have a bigger object in there this will limit the quality.
