Planapo 63x/1.4, DIC, 265µm length, 5 stacks stitched in Photoshop, Marine sample, Alboran Sea.

Thanks mintakax, must say that diatoms are pretty amazing. Glass houses, how weird is that!

Do you first make the stack and then stitch?
Yes, I make the stacks first, then stitch. How many stacks depends on how much overlap I give them. I usually try for at least a 1/3, usually a bit more.

I tend to overcompensate a bit as the stitching software can be fussy and it is frustrating when it refuses to stitch due to insufficient overlap.

This is what it looked like. Which just shows that I can't count, as there are 6 stacks ;)
