Would you say it is in fully living condition?
Hard to say, the chloroplasts had shrunk a bit and it was not moving, though that in itself is not conclusive as it is an epibiont; and I have seen diatoms with shrunken chloroplasts pottering about.

On the other hand it was not visually at its best, which could indicate that it was unwell.
