Lovely image 75'.
What have you done to me?!
I just visited algaebase to look this one up!
Amazing images, easily detailed-enough for taxonomic use surely.
Thanks again 75'.

Great images!
The Cocconeis frustules I have seen (after cleaning) do not show these "longitudinal" lines. Either a species difference or the difference between live diatom and frustule ? or just a DIC-specific feature ?

Not DIC specific :) It may however be species related - see linkThe Cocconeis frustules I have seen (after cleaning) do not show these "longitudinal" lines. Either a species difference or the difference between live diatom and frustule ? or just a DIC-specific feature ?
