Thrips nymph captured in negative colors via smartphone. Prior to that it ate my grapefruit tree.
Bresser Biolux AL -> default 40x -> 10X eyepiece -> smartphone camera

Did you use a cover slip? You might get more detail without one.

Yes I did, on similar occasion I'll try without one. This specimen was mounted in cedar oil.
