Planapo 63x/1.4, DIC, 112µm length, (48 image stack) stacked in Photoshop, K D Kemp 8 Form Test Slide

Best I can do so far using a 60w incandescent bulb - perhaps using a Cool White CREE LED I might do a bit better.

Converted to B/W

Fine image!

Was B/W conversion done by omission of one or two color channels (say, red and green) or by some averaging of data from all three channels ?

Used Adjustments > Black & White

Thanks to your question I delved into Photoshop black and white conversion - turns out there is a lot more to it than I realized!

Excellent work 75RR. Really love the contrast and resolution here. The B/W fits quite well with the subject.

Breath taking. You nailed it man. It's very difficult to compete on this forum. For me it seems impossible
