Interesting. What was your light source?

I use a stop filter with about one-third of one side cut out. I also have a goose neck LED lamp which I press on the stage near the objective. I ordered some light conducting cable. I want to try to generate a thin stream of light directly to my subjects. The cable from China is slow to arrive.

You should experiment with stop filters and small lamps. You can achieve acceptable results without spending much.

Also, I am very interested to see your results with fiber optics

Thanks. I will dutifully post a lot when I get the cables from China--probably next month.
