Prorocentrum lima video

#1 Post by 75RR » Tue Jun 02, 2020 1:36 pm

.
Short video of Prorocentrum lima showing the characteristic pores running round the edge and on the valve surface.
The central area without pores which is where the pyrenoid is located is also indicative of this species.
There seems to be some frenetic bacterial activity within the Dinoflagellate

Very nice video 75RR. You always find stuff new interesting stuff :-)
Wonder if there are really bacteria activities inside? Maybe a closer look at, e.g. with leass fluid layer could clarify. Could also be some metabolic products - e.g. when spotting closterium or other algae, you see this kind of moving micro-cristals etc.
