Hi, which part of the Dandelion are these from? It's a little hard to make-out so close-in.

May I ask what equipment you're using to take images, there may be a way to make them a little clearer.

Please keep-up the variety of your posts, always worth reading/looking at.

I believe Don wants his images to look that way. Several people have tried to help him get sharper images without compression artifacts, but he has kindly turned down all offers of help. It's a unique style, for sure!

That's definitely true - they do have their own style, which does indeed make a change from the super-sharp versions.
Good-thinking viktor, I also like the many different subjects being explored, always interesting.

Thank you for your kind defense. I don't know if I'm capable of change. I am not excited by precise microtomy. I like to try to capture a different view of familiar things. This is the head of the dandelion--after the seeds have blown away. The "volcano-like" features are where the seeds were attached. Notice the transparent tissue around them.

Ah, yes, the little craters that are left! I like your approach - makes a nice change from the high-precision stuff.
Looking forward to your next adventure!
