Hi, I think a lot depends on the method you use for collection.

I use a net for plankton, but I also put inside a nylon stocking that women use, after doing the drag I quickly turn it over and drain it and squeeze it into the glass jar, so a little amount of water falls but well saturated with plankton.

What is your way of catching it?

I collect my samples with a glass yar. I take some water with dirt and algae if present.

We tend to lose sight of the three-dimensional nature of things under the microscope.
... A stacked version of that view would be really good.

Thank you for your interest.

I am located on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean and live by the sea, so it is very easy to go out, take a sea bath and throw the net. The objetive is an old inverted leitz 45 x L na o,65.

Thanks for your undeserved comparison, she was very photogenic, a bit lucky too. Yesterday I found this one on top of a rock. She also gave me her best profile.

I still don't have a good camera or the necessary software, I hope to gain more experience.
