Testing DropBox for image sharing

Just a test to see if DropBox works to share images^

Image

As pointed out this is google drive not dropbox.

At last I found out how to do it:-
Change /file/d to uc?id and delete /view?usp=sharing

With dropbox :-

Change dl=0 to raw=1

Don't forget to enclose the link in the Img tags

Well ... I can see the image
But you appear to be using Google Drive ... which is not Dropbox

Is the mid-word capital significant ?
DropBox vs Dropbox

Dropbox 'Basic' is still free [see my first link] ... up to a limited capacity, which I have not yet exceeded.

But they do appear to be slowly 'strangling' the free version.

Probably worth having both available [?]

Hi together,
I once had a dropbox account and a piece of dropbox software installed. But when I inserted an SD card into the computer it started to move (not copy) the files to the dropbox. This quickly ended our young friendship!
This is several years ago, it might have changed since then.

Thanks for the link. It turns out I have a dropbox account. Its so long since I used it I had forgotten along with the password.
I have just recovered the password so now I can give it a test as well.
Thanks again.

If you alter the link a bit and use the server name "dl.dropboxusercontent" you will be able to display the image without users having to click on the link. It will be embedded in the post. Just a tip. Here is your link with the server name altered. Also remember to enclose the link with brackets

I thought that the whole idea of having external links was that it didn't use up your picture allowance on this website, or does your way not affect it?

Just followed your links. WOW Very nice images. Have you put those links on the videos and photos section for the members? :D
If not you should do so immediately.
