Several members cannot use PM

Oliver, several members who have posted more than the minimum of 3 posts have trouble using PM:
McConkey, ChirsR, Oktagon, and chipper. You may have missed the post:

I received your PM JimT. But I can see NO way to reply nor to send a PM to anyone else. On the right under options there is one titled "Compose Message". But if I click on it I get the following: "We are sorry, but you are not authorised to use this feature. You may have just registered here and may need to participate more to be able to use this feature."

Is there any possibility this can be fixed. Charlie who I wanted to PM but couldn't was contacted instead by just posting with subject "Hey Charlie". Well that eventually worked and resulted in me getting to meet him because it turned out he is visiting Denver and did me a real kindness.
Again all that to say I was able to get around not being able to PM but there are occasions when it would just be more appropriate to PM when you want to PM.
Is this being ignored or is there an ombudsman I can take this to. I have received PMs but do not have the options of sending a PM to anyone.
HELP!

Bill, your not the only one I received a PM from bill&ben74 but have no way to reply.
Something needs to be addressed here!!!!!
