FORUM RECENT POST ISSUES

I can't seem to organise the "Pictures and Videos" section of the forum to what date the post was originally made, in order.
It is only showing the latest posts people have replied to.
So I have no idea what is the latest post.

Example:

"Picture of moth" posted "1 October 2016"
"onion cells" posted "2 March 2018"
"stem cells" posted "5 January 2017"

The posts should be organised by default the date they were originally posted, NOT by the latest reply.

Also, the filter is NOT FUNCTIONAL as I selected "post subject" within 1 day and it there was a post since 5 February 2018! Today is 16/03/2018.

Please adjust this as soon as possible.

Hi,
just had a look and have seen that if you simply scroll down to the bottom of the post-list that is currently in descending order of date there is a button on the bottom of the listing-frame that has the option to order the listing by ascending date instead.

The listings start from first reply of course, but simply clicking the topic will take you to the first post of the topic.
Here's a screen-snip of the button,

Hope this helps a bit.

ALL TOPICS - POST TIME - ASCENDING (last page 106)

Image

1."A couple more Diatoms from that sample jar" - Posted: Thu Mar 15, 2018 7:05 pm
2."Baby flukes!" - Posted: Tue Feb 13, 2018 9:59 pm
3."Another Diatom from the same sea sample" - Posted: Wed Mar 14, 2018 8:56 pm

Results still wrong... :x

The admin should create "POST CREATION DATE" on the filter.

Otherwise a topic which was created in 1969 could still be at the top of a list just because somebody made a comment on a old topic.

This is a very nice forum for microscopists but the functionally is letting this forum down.

True. It is called bumping and is discouraged unless the poster has a relevant and pertinent question of some urgency.
Bumping an old post just to say how nice you think it is, serves no good purpose.
