I can tolerate some cropping for the reason you mentioned so the 600D will work OK for me. I also found a Olympus photo microscopy L adapter pretty easily. It's a bit more expensive than the replacement you linked. So I'll need to decide which of them to buy. BTW, looking back over this thread, I have to thank everyone who contributed. Y'all have been so helpful. Seems like there are a plethora of ways to accomplish the "simple" goal of attaching a camera to my microscope, and I tend to over-think things. Especially when there are so many options.
