Best camera system compatible with MacOS

Hi All,

I am looking to add my first camera setup to my microscope but not sure where to begin. My main requirement would be a system that works with MacOS. Additionally should I get a dedicated CMOS module or a DSLR/mirrorless Camera?

The microscope I am using is a Leitz Laborlux 12 POL S.

By any chance does that one have an ISO 38 mm photo port (as John eyes a Leitz ISO 38 to c-mount adapter)?
