Hello everyone from India, I cannot find the answer to my query in the Forum.
I am looking for a cheap alternative to microscope camera,
I came across Eakins 48 mp CMOS camera which can be paired with a 0.5x reduction optics c mount (Ithink that is better than 0.35x correct me if i am mistaken)
The camera costs a 100 us $ and it boasts of 4k video at 30 fps and 1080p video at 60 fps. It is actually used for PCB repair and Board and chip repair.
I plan to Make Histopathology teaching videos using the microscope , and also plan to use it to teach during live video sessions. Kindly help me out with a few queries:
1) What can i expect image quality wise?
2) How will the video performance be?
3) Will i get better performance than my current setup(which is a redmi note 3 16mp camera paired with a 10x eyepiece and mounted on the trinocular port)
4) Are there any measuring softwares for such microscopes.

all your valuable input will be very appreciated. thanks in advance.

I was looking for similar information for video microscopy but the subject is mind-boggling to say the least. It appears I may be better to obtain a mirrorless interchangeable lens camera rather than a dedicated microscope camera. From reading at various sources it seems the dedicated cameras all have limitations on connectivity and/or software compatibility with a PC. What are your experiences so far with whatever you decided to purchase?

Likely, full control of the camera is only available when it is connected to the HDMI. I wonder about untold limitations in the declared simultaneity of
output to HDMI and USB. Also, USB 2 is inadequate for decent videos. Also, the pushbuttons are small and dense and are possibly a source of vibration on the microscope. Perhaps the camera package includes a tiny remote control. Just my opinion and experience.
