Hi, anyone used this one ?
I'm wondering if it may work good with my Olympus sz4045, seems quite simple to just put it in the eyepiece tube.

Not sure about the corrections on the GFL and not sure if 30mm eyepiece can work on it, but I could make a 30mm tube for GFL photo changer...
I could try it out on the Axiolab which I probably won't keep, or I will if it works better than the GFL for imaging...

While zeiss infinity photo adapters don't need to do significant corrections and thus shpuld be OK on that level I have had no luck adapting them to other systems.
If you want a trinocular option on the 4045 you can get one of the trinocular Chinese copies and use the camera port from it. They are compatible with minor caveats. The sz4045 will cover aps-c via direct projection, no intermediate optics needed.

Great idea, the original trinocular part seems rare to come by and therefore probably too expensive...

I just set one up, though I might be making it sound a bit easier than it was.

This is the scope I took it off of. It was still kind of expensive for a misaligned generic stereo but worth it.

The actual trinocular port fits perfectly, though you need to remove the indexing bolt on the Olympus since it's a bit too big--this doesn't seem to affect anything since it indexes fine on its own.
However, it was set up as a fixed 50/50 even though it had an "in-out" sticker indicating where a lever should be to switch between 100/0 and 0/100.

Interestingly this was accomplished by installing the entire hinge mechanism but putting a half mirror instead of the whole mirror and a spot of glue to make sure it didn't move out of position. Unfortunately, aside from the annoyance of one eye always getting half the light, the half mirror was not suitable for darkfield imaging and had serious ghosting issues, though it wasn't so visible when using other types of illumination for whatever reason.

Point is I had to modifying it by removing the bad half mirror, adding a first surface mirror from a roached bausch and lomb stereozoom head, use a dremel to carve out a channel and make a lever to operate the hinge from the outside. I also had to paint part of the port to cover some big scratches, just used an in between color so at least it wouldn't look annoyingly slightly mismatched all over.

Long story short I'd strongly recommend getting one that's switchable, not one with a half mirror. But the results are totally worth it. It's easy to direct project using a simple 3d printed adapter and some m42 spacers and the image is nice with a very wide field.

This is info of the year... I just tried this, the image is great.
I don't believe I didn't try this first.

Seriously, it's super nice. I currently have an sz4045 and an smz-2t both on gemscopes I've assembled, and honestly I didn't expect it but I prefer the sz4045. The mag range is a bit different but still.
