Hi Again,
I can't take pictures with my Canon M50. I have a AmpScope Canon SLR camera adapter attached to the Commlite cm- EF- EOS M mount. I attached it to my Swift SW350T microscope. I get a good through the screen but when I hit shutter button nothing. I have set to to manual focus and I set the shutter speed auto. I got this camera about a month ago. Any help would be appreciated.
Chris

Re: Camera won't take pictures
Break out you camera manual. Somewhere in there is a function to allow shutter release without a lens. Enable it. It's disabled by default since normally you take pictures with a lens. Obviously your adapter doesn't tell the camera it is a lens.

I did what you said, I started to read my manual after 3 hrs and hundreds of pages later I found out how to enable the shutter. I know now why I don't read manuals, it hurts the brain from to much information. But to tell you the truth it is a lot faster getting from the forum you guys have all the answers.

A much faster way is to download camera manual as pdf, then use Adobe or similar software to search keywords “shutter release” or “remote” within that pdf. Only read the manual parts that have those keywords.
