A little while ago there was a thread about removal of backgrounds in photos. I have lost the reference; can anyone remember and/or post a link to this? Will it work with win7?
Many thanks, John
Photo background removal
Re: Photo background removal
Normal procedure would be to use Photoshop. It can work with layers and you can mask off the background with the "select and mask" function.

Re: Photo background removal
Technique I use in PS is create a duplicate layer, blur it, then paint in the desired subjects with layer mask.

That is what I thought Culicoides was looking for, but I think that software is for evening out the illumination rather then removing the background (but again, I may well be wrong).kit1980 wrote:You probably mean this post viewtopic.php?p=32547#p32547, where mrsonchus mentioned 'Olympus Background Subtraction Tool'.Culicoides wrote:A little while ago there was a thread about removal of backgrounds in photos.
