Universal microscope adapters, ndpl1 vs ndpl2

Hi all. I have a few questions regarding universal camera adapters labeled as ndpl-1 (2x) & ndpl-2 (2x):
1) is this a general product with same labeling used by various manufacturers? I've seen a wide range in price for these adapters.
2) what is the difference between these two adapters? Would one work better with my Canon M50 (APS-C)?

I have the ndpl-1 and it works pretty well, although the FOV is less than through the eyepiece. I was bothered by this until i started using PhotoStitcher. I'm wondering if the ndpl-2 would work even better.

According to this seller, it appears that
-1 is Nikon fit
-2 is Canon fit

That's confusing to me as the adapters come with T threads to allow camera specific adapters. Oh well...

It looks like they include the camera-specific T adapter
... which would explain the need for a suffix

Well that makes sense to me now. I've seen this part for sale from $59 to $450. Not sure if they are exact or different versions of same. Anyway, I'm pretty happy with the one I bought from a university surplus store for $25!!
