Nikon Digital Sight Camera Pinout

#1 Post by lunacyworks » Tue May 21, 2019 3:49 am

I have a couple of Nikon Digital Sight Cameras, one is the original one DN-100 which has what looks like a regular LVDS cable but a bit smaller, thus I believe its a DFP connector. I can hook it to a monitor, that has the old LVDS/DFP type connector on it but get nothing from it. I also have the newer DS-l1 & DS-l2 controllers which have the same type of connector. I have been told off record that these are a subset of a typical LVDS connector. That uses LVDS type siginals, however other research says its a custom setup.

I also have some other industrial cameras that use the OpenLDI standard (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenLDI) https://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/3d ... tor/299619, but that connector is a bit larger than the one on the Nikon units. (https://textfiles.meulie.net/mirror/pin ... nout.shtml)

I am thinking it could be https://pinouts.ru/Video/dfp_pinout.shtml a DFP connector? https://www.sfcable.com/6ft-dvi-male-to ... YvEALw_wcB I had a cable like this from the small connecter to DVI for a monitor, but their obviously is no power source so nothing I could see to power the camera.

Compaq was using the DFP for awhile, thus I am thinking it might be this form factor modified https://www.pccables.com/MDR-Adapter-DV ... R20-F.html

A freind mentioned that it also might be a form of cameralink https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Camera_Link

Any info would be helpful
