I would like to know what that accessory that came with the digital camera adapter is for, at first I thought it would be something to be able to use larger cameras or other cameras.

Looks like something that would clamp onto tubing.

Kinda looks like it clamps onto an eyepiece and maybe screws into the tripod mount on a camera? Maybe meant for lighter DSLRs, camcorders or point'n'shoots?
