I am considering buying an OMAX 5MP USB3.0 A3550U3 camera but I have a question about the software:

Omax uses the ToupTekView software package.
The most recent version on their website is 3.7.11443.20180326 (dating from march 2018) see link below:

But this is not the most recent version of the ToupTek software. If you go to the ToupTek website see link below:

You get version 4.10.16880.20200330 (dating from march 2020)
Touptek provides this software with their C3CMOS05100KPA camera (which has the same specs as the Omax A3550U3)

I installed both versions on my PC (Windows 10). The software looks the same but there is additional functionality in the most recent version.
Because I do not have the Omax camera, I cannot check if the ToupTek 4.10.16880.20200330 actually works with the Omax camera.

Is anyone with an Omax camera willing to test the ToupTek 4.10.16880.20200330 version or already did the test ?

All Touptek USB camera part numbers begin with TP as the first two characters followed by six numbers and one letter.
Omax is unlikely to be the manufacturer of this camera, it is most probably from Touptek. I have a camera which I bought from Bresser which is made by Touptek but branded Bresser and the Touptek software works fine.

Just to let you know, I bought the OMAX 5MP USB3.0 A3550U3 camera and it works with the ToupView software.
I did not even try the older OMAX version of the software.

The image quality is excellent and the camera is very responsive.
Now I can tune the focus from my computer screen.
