Anyone have an older copy of Spot Basic before 5.6.3?
I have written Spot Imaging and all they do is stiff-arm me and will not help anyone very much when they have a older unsupported camera. I need to test older versions of Spot Basic to see if my camera is not working because they left out support for my 9 year old 35.5 Gigabit Insight camera. I have a licensed copy of 5.6.3 Spot Basic build 19054 (the latest version) and a licensed copy of 4.7 Spot Basic. The 4.7 Version of Spot Basic is too old and it was out before the 35.5 camera was made and the 5.6.3 version sees the camera and the camera icon turns green, but when it tries to bring in the video it just says "No response from the camera". Using Wireshark I can see the camera and Spot Basic are communicating with each other to the tune of over 15 MB of data each time the camera is started. I can't get Spot to verify that 35.5 camera model is verified or validated to even work with the camera model even though when you buy the program it mentions that it supports all the older cameras except the ones that use the PCI board.

Sorry ... I’ve not even seen that camera before
But at least I now know that it’s Ethernet connection, and a decent spec.

I wish you success.

Oops ! ... I was evidently mistaken
I’ve just looked at the photo you have inserted on your other thread
... which seems to show a parallel cable.

Readers please note ... Joe has advised me that the camera is indeed Gigabit Ethernet connected

You have probably looked here already :

But it might be the best place to ask for ‘informed’ answers

Michael,
I have everything that I can get from Spot and their website, so that is why I'm asking for help from the members of this group.
The camera is gigabit Ethernet and the cable is not a parallel cable but an accessory cable and I can't get the pinout from Spot for that either.
Thank you for trying
Joe

Sorry, Joe ... My mis-understanding
[didn’t recognise the cable]
... Regret I must leave you to it.
