Request for help, please!

#1 Post by gekko » Tue Dec 16, 2014 8:06 pm

Although I am honored to have my images published in the gallery of the Microbe Hunter Magazine along with Oliver's, I would appreciate some help from members who post on the forum to volunteer their images too. I have to admit that most of the images posted on the forum are better, more varied, and more interesting than mine. This will get those images seen by the magazine readers who may not visit the forum, would relieve those readers from the tedium of always seeing my pictures, and, importantly, will help Oliver and all readers of the magazine.
Oliver will not use your images without your express permission. I have given him permission to use any of my images any time without asking, but you can, if you wish, submit specific images (and, of course, you retain full copyright and full control over your images).
I am not writing this on behalf of Oliver (and he hasn't asked me to, or know about it-- I hope Oliver does not mind), but on behalf of myself. There are superb images posted on the forum that it would be a pity not to have them published in the magazine.
Also if you can, please contribute articles to the magazine (thanks to The QCC for his prolific and interesting copiously illustrated contributions, and thanks as well to the other contributors!) Helpful suggestions are found here:

By the way, a new edition of the Magazine is available for free downloading from the main website.

Do not know if my photographs are suitable, but I am quite happy to extend the same offer as gekko has. Grab away if and when you wish Oliver!

Do I send this to Oliver or will you pass it on? Nevermind, I will forward it to Oliver. Don't know if any are that good but Oliver, help yourself if you like any. Nothing like seeing something you did in print:-) JimT

A big thank you to Gekko and to Manfred to giving me permission!

General info: While it is possible to only publish the pictures on this forum (or link them), it is sometimes better to send me the originals of higher resolution for republication. If you use photo hosting services, then the image size might be larger anyway, and then it is not necessary to send them.

All the best!
Oliver

I should have read the thread better!!
A big thank you to JimT and 75RR as well! There is one question left, however, and this is how to attribute the pictures in the magazine. What name do you want me to include beneath the pictures?

All the best, Oliver
