M82ES having trouble fitting in an eyepiece
M82ES having trouble fitting in an eyepiece
Hello. Recently I ordered an OMAX M82ES and I found out that the right slot would not fit an eyepiece without force. I felt the interior and noticed a "ring bump" around the area. How should I go about fixing this? I don't have access to tools like files or anything, nor do I want to cause any sort of damage to the microscope.

How recently? Eyepieces should fit smoothly.Recently I ordered an OMAX M82ES and I found out that the right slot would not fit an eyepiece without force.
I would contact seller before attempting anything.
Seller should replace the microscope or at the very least the head.

I ordered the package 2 days ago and got it today. I found the website of the seller. Any idea what info I should be including?

Hello,
Do not attempt to fix anything, you might end up making things worse and then the seller has an argument for not exchanging the microscope. If the "ring bump" is due to external force (bent metal?), then maybe there are other things also wrong. Mictoscope should be exchanged.
Oliver.
