My microscopes

Hello everyone

In these photos I show you my modest microscopes.
The first from the left is a trinocular microscope of muller-optronic. I replaced the objectives with good Leitz and condenser with a lomo aplanatic 1.4 NA with oblique illumination.

The second is a stereo zoom trinocular always of muller optronic.
I use primarily to observations and assembly of foraminifera.

he third was my first microscope and use it basically for observe and photograph with polarized light.

For the photography i use 2 ccd ASI120MM and ASI 120MC. These camera are very sensible and i use primarily for planetary imaging with telescope but are great for shooting under a microscope. In fact, the techniques and software that use for microscope photography are the same that i used in astronomy.

As I said in my presentation, basically my field of observation is to diatoms, foraminifera and radiolarians. I have a very large collection of slides and samples of diatoms, radiolarians and foraminifera, antique from Victorian period and made by me. I learned technic of mounting slides from Klaus Kemp, Brian Darnton and Michel Haak.
I'm obviously very interested in the exchange of new slides and samples with anyone.
I have the possibility to clean samples with chemical agent.

I have a very modest Leitz objective. In oder:

PL APO 63x 1.40 OIL
PL Fluotar 100x 1.32 OIL
PL APO 40x 0.75
PL Fluotar 25x 0.60
PL Fluotar 10x 0.30

I agree with The QCC and 75RR: a very impressive laboratory indeed. Clearly, you are an amateur who takes his hobby very seriously. Wonderful!

Yes very impressive. We share the same fond regard for Leitz Objectives. I am curious if mounting the LOMO oblique condenser required any modifications. I have one enroute and plan on mounting it on one of my scopes.
