Centropyxis Redux (Another visit this time with 63x immersion)

#1 Post by 75RR » Thu Feb 11, 2016 2:45 am

63x/1.4, 170µm, DIC - Negative Bias, 6 stitched stacks of 46, 47, 38, 34, 32, and 31 in Photoshop
63x/1.4 * 1.25, Detail, DIC - Negative Bias, 25 image stack in Photoshop

First oiled wet mount, oiled the condenser as well. Almost bit off more than I could chew + 450 images!
First two images are Negative Bias, the second two are Positive Bias.

Incredible! Truly your best work. The detail is phenomenal and extremely clear. 3 dimensional as well.

Awesome images Glenn

Thanks for showing what can be done.

(Reminds me of ancient Roman ruins, or something.) :-)

Wow 75, what a project! The best part is the work was worth it. That is a remarkable image and one to be proud of.

Nicely done!

Impressive alright! Besides the superb imagery, I can't imagine managing 450 photo files...

Impressive images and impressive dedication: as Rod said, the results fully justified all that work.

Incredible detail! You must be 10 years older after combining 450 images :)

Help out a novice. What is negative bias Vs. positive bias? Thanks.
