What about bresser microscope?

#1 Post by LoudMurmur » Wed Jun 22, 2016 12:52 pm

Hi,

The only available brand around here (France) is bresser.
The researcher trino is around 350€ and the bioscience trino is around 500€.

From their website I could not find any differences beside their shape and weight.

After writing to them they told me that the "bioscience model as far more precise optics"
Do you think this is true?
Is the quality only defined by the objectives? because it seems to be the same ones for the 2 microscope, in the "accesorie" tab you can upgrade with the exact same objectives (DIN planachromatic objectives)

I saw some pic here being done with a researcher bino and the quality seems good, do I really need to invest a additional 150€

researcher trino
bioscience trino

Thanks.

I really can't help with your selection as it is your money.. I do know some of the best and most striking photos posted here are taken with one..

The less expensive one does NOT mention Köhler Iluminator whereas the other one does.

Indeed, I asked bresser and they confirmed that it used kohler illumination.

They said the differences were :
weight
bioscience is more robust
bioscience has better optics

Well you can, I only found pics taken with a researcher model.
I'm wondering if the bioscience really has better optics or if they said that because it is more expensive.
