What is a realistic temp range for my three scopes? They are stored in the
house, which is 66 to 73 deg. l have not had much time to learn how to
stabilize the lab temp, which has a small wall heater, and a thermostat controlled
ceiling vent.

Re: Lab temp range
I think I read somewhere that it needs to be cool and dry... What is meant by cool, I guess is a relative thing.. I would think 70º would be good.. high humidity seems to be a bad thing..

Re: Lab temp range
Humidity is a bigger problem than temperature. Air conditioning is the simplest answer to that.

Re: Lab temp range
I do know that Metrology labs use 68 deg. as a standard temperature for precision inspection.. I think this is a world wide standard...
Re: Lab temp range
The manual for my Nikon says 32 to 102 deg F. That may be fine for the scope but not for
me!

Re: Lab temp range
Dale, Those are the minimum and maximum operating temps for the microscopes to operate. Make your lab comfortable for you.
