In stagnant waters, lakes, ponds, .... it is possible to find interesting protozoa. In a flask with water with some detritus passed some days usually appear Paramecium

Nice to observe this ciliate prowl about, thank you Fransico. What sort of lighting did you use? Do these ciliates appear often in the sample, or was this 'big guy' a lucky encounter on your slide? thanks, Fransico. Charlie guevara

These ciliates appear quite frequently in the water samples that I collect

They do not move fast. Did you add something, like methyl cellulose, to slow them down?

It does not add anything to "slow down" the movement.
